Sweet meaty surprises!
This photo reminds me of that weekend in Wildwood where I experimented with a kerosene based tanning lotion.  Big mistake.  Not only did I crisp up like overdone bacon, I smelled like a human version of Fogo de Chao for two weeks.

Wowza. This is absolutely scary amazing BACON NEWS!
This Is Why You’re Fat, a favorite fellow tumblr, hit the WSJ today and is featured on a list of up-and-coming food sites alongside names like Jamie Oliver and Alice Waters. Congrats!
Featured on the site, this photo is the next course in bacon-themed news.  I believe it trumps both the Bacon Explosion and Bacolicio.
From Porktopia, it’s called the Porkgasm: ”bacon strips, bacon sausage, ham sausage, ham slices, smoked pork sausage and roasted pork belly surrounded by ground sausage shaped into a pig, wrapped in bacon and roasted. Garnished with chili ears and tail.” It’s even better with step-by-step photo documentation.
Will bacon continue to survive as an Internet meme? I sure hope so.
